内容简介：

　　In this book we aim tO make our readers bet．ter acquainted

with sustainable architecture．All kinds of options are

presented，since green architecture is not only a question of having

a house built without CO：emissions or one that is completely

self-sufficient with respect tO elec．tricity or water

consumption．Architecture is considered tO be green when it takes

account of a number of different factors during the process of

constructing a house and the impact a build．ing will have

throughout its life cycle：from the moment it is designed，erected

and used un—til it is pulled down at the end of the process．The

projects shown in this book demonstrate a large range of

sustainable and environmentally friendly resources：from recovering

traditional architectura]solutions such as cross ventila．tion or

the use of natural light tO new systems of insulation and

self-sufficient energy supplies．These ideas and proposals will give

our readers a general idea of a type of architecture that is real

and in a constant state of development．
